About Dr. Auerbach

Dr. Alex Auerbach is a counseling and performance psychologist specializing in working with the world’s top performers.He has experience working in the NBA, NFL, and with athletes from all four major leagues. Most recently, he served as the Toronto Raptors Senior Director of Wellness and Development, where he served as an executive. Dr. Auerbach has worked with NCAA Division-I schools in the SEC, Pac-12, ACC, Big 12, and Conference USA. He's currently the CEO of Momentum Labs, a performance psychology advisory service. 

Dr. Auerbach earned his doctoral degree in counseling psychology with a specialization in sport and performance psychology from the University of North Texas. He received a master’s degree in Business Administration from Salve Regina University and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona. For nearly a decade, he has been dedicated to providing clinical care, performance consulting, and crisis intervention for professional and collegiate athletes, as well as coaches, medical staff, and sport administration. 

Dr. Auerbach has made several TV and podcast appearances to share his expertise on performance coaching and optimization, and has also published several scientific research articles and presented at notable international and national conferences. When he is not working with athletes and other high-performers, he enjoys hiking, surfing, playing with his dog and family, and other activities that keep both his mind and body ready to perform.
