About Nina
Nina Gregoire earned her Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Master's Degree in Social Psychology from the University of British Columbia (Okanagan). Currently, Nina is pursuing both a PhD in Social Psychology at the University of British Columbia, and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at the University of Essex with a focus on Human Rights and Employment Law. She also holds a certificate in Mediation accredited by the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Canada. Nina is passionate about conducting applied research that aims to improve cultures within institutions, organizations, and corporate environments, and in understanding how evidence-based policy and legal frameworks can more positively regulate these domains.
As a practicing Mediator, Doctoral researcher, corporate consultant, and law student, Nina is a highly effective communicator and presenter, and is an expert on the topics of power dynamics, consent culture and workplace communication. Her presentations are grounded in empirical evidence and enriched by real-world examples drawn from her professional experiences in the dispute-resolution world. She has delivered talks and workshops at national and international academic conferences, community and education events (e.g., BC Rural Health Research Exchange and Women in Science and Engineering), and in corporate settings such as Thrive Health’s grand rounds. Nina’s work has been published in multiple, top-tier academic journals and has been funded by Mitacs and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council in recognition of her research skill and excellence. Nina is equally dedicated to her community, spending significant time volunteering for organizations such as Access Pro-Bono, Options for Sexual Health, and the Women in Sciences and Engineering program at UBC-O.
Outside of her work and studies, Nina enjoys spending time with her family, participating in wellness routines, visiting coffee shops with friends, and travelling.
